DIY Thanks A Latte Coffee Wedding Favor (And a free printable)

For a long time, I didn't drink coffee. It wasn't until two years ago that I finally acquired a taste for it -- well, for the last sip of it, at least. I give up chocolate for Lent every year and a few years ago, I was really hurting without hot chocolate every morning. So I decided to try coffee. I added enough milk and sugar that the last sip tasted like hot chocolate, and that worked for me. When Lent was over, I kept drinking coffee, much to Pete's delight. That meant we could have coffee parties and coffee dates.

If you like coffee, you might want to incorporate it into your wedding. And what better way to do it than with your favors. I put together a really tasty -- and fun -- "Thanks A Latte" wedding favor.

Fill the organza bags with coffee beans.

Cut the circles from the printable. I used scissors, but a 1-inch circle punch would have been much easier since I designed these to be 1-inch in diameter. I don't have a circle punch that large, though, so I cut them by hand. No worries because I was only making a couple of them, but if you're making 100 or so for your wedding, a punch is definitely worth buying.

Place the circle in the bag and close it.

I originally thought about taping each Thanks A Latte printable to the outside of the bag but they were popping up and not laying flat. Doing that meant risking them falling off before making it to your guests so I wouldn't suggest that.

Simple. And saving the printable is simple too. I already designed it so all you need to do is right click the image below and save it to your computer. Then, print it on a sheet of printer paper. It's already formatted to fit an 8.5x11 sheet of paper perfectly, so you don't have to worry about resizing anything.

    1. Thanks!

And that's good to know about the three coffee scoops! I would hate to make these and not give enough coffee that guests can't make a full cup.

  2. Love this idea, so simple, easy to make and cute! But I have a Keurig at home, I use K cups or ground coffee in the refillable Kcup. I don't have a grinder, so beands wouldn't work for me. I'd have to make these in paper bags with ground coffee... and print these on 1" circle stickers.

  4. What a cute idea! I'll save this one for when (if) the time comes that I help my daughter plan her own wedding. Thanks for sharing at Over the Moon.
