Homemade Nestlé Crunch Bar Wedding Favors

If you love this Homemade Nestlé Crunch Bar Wedding Favors recipe, be sure to Yum it here: Yum

I was making rice cereal topped brownies for Pete's birthday this year, and I couldn't help but think that the topping felt a lot like a homemade Nestlé Crunch bar.

If you know me, you know Nestlé Crunch bars are my favorite. As a little kid, I loved the crispy chocolate bar. And when I was wedding planning, fun size Nestlé Crunch bars were what I would stress eat.

So when I realized that I could make them myself, it made me think that these were the perfect DIY wedding favor -- if my wedding was coming up, anyway. We've been married for four years now, so I don't need a wedding favor.

But maybe you do.

And if you do, these homemade Nestlé Crunch bar wedding favors are the perfect treat to thank your guests.

You can make these with either milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips. I prefer the taste of semi-sweet. It gives them a richer version like a dark chocolate Crunch bar. The milk chocolate chips would be a more traditional flavor.

Stir in 1 cup of the puffed rice cereal.

When it's completely incorporated, add a quarter cup of cereal and stir slowly until combined.

Continue adding quarter cups until all the cereal is incorporated.

Spread the mixture in the bottom of a nonstick pan. I did half the mixture in a small bread pan, but you could do the entire mixture into an 8x8 cake pan.

If you're worried about the nonstick coating of your pan, you could first line it with parchment paper. I didn't because the melted chocolate could get stuck in the folds of the parchment and ruin the shape.

Put it in the freezer until it is completely cooled.

Take it from the freezer, turn it upside down on a cutting board, and gently hit the bottom of the pan to get the chocolate out.

Cut it into slices.

Put as many as you'd like into a cute treat bag with a thank you tag attached.

I would advise you to keep them cool in a dark place until your wedding so they don't melt.
